She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. Her first job out of school was in the industry of real estate. In this industry, she met Tarek El-Moussa, her future husband. The couple had huge success before the stock crash in 2008 in which real estate investment firms, house flippers, and other property owners went broke. Tarek El Moussa nearly eliminated due to the 2008 market crash. Their apartment was $700 per week, compared to the $6000 they paid each month to rent their house. Their company, as well as the economy in general, slowly rebounded. HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to help him make an HGTV audition tape which showed the two of them Christina flipping a house from beginning to end. Pie Town Productions executives received the tape. They fell in love with Tarek as well as Christina. They reached a deal with HGTV. The show "Flip of Flop" began its run on April 13, 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the show ran 92 episodes in seven seasons. Christina and Tarek bought homes located in Orange County that were usually homes with a middle-income.
